Man, has it been a crummy week. I won't get into it, but I have just been beyond exhausted. I keep hoping that this overwhelming crappiness is just what the universe must inflict upon me to balance out the incredible awesomeness that lies ahead. First of all, I will be going to see The Colbert Report in Philadelphia on Monday. Whoo! Secondly, I will be attending the New York Comic-Con on Saturday and Sunday. Double whoo! If you see me around the convention center, please say hello. I look like a bigger, less 2-D version of this.
Because of Comic-Con, I will be missing the end-of-the-year school BBQ that I'm supposed to help organize. I've been put in charge of advertising instead, which I'm actually kind of excited about because I realized that I haven't designed anything for my department yet. Recently, two of my teachers, digital coloring masters, did Photoshop demos for us and I found out that I've been doing it the hard way all this time. Anyway, I'm trying to apply all this new information into the creation of the poster but it's going to take a while before it looks anything like the way I want it to. Here's the linework for now.
Nothing gets iris-less art school hipsters going like hot meat on a grill. Ha-HA! "Hot meat"...
I've also recently discovered the joys of a good pen nib. It's done wonders for my ink work and my sketchbook is now full of drawings that won't smudge when I accidentally swipe my hand against a page. Expect a big sketch post soon. Not too soon, though. Lazy lady.
