Not at all. To be honest though I did research how you usually colour your own work before I felt comfortable starting, and there are still a bunch of things I wouldn't done differently if I had to do it over again, but that has more to do with my own neurotic nature then your art giving me any actual trouble. Oh, and on a side note, the addition of the "Shake Weight" was a huge hit.

Buster Keaton was only a name to me before this. And I can see how that sort of look seems to seep into your work (and it works really well!). I love seeing how people's inspirations inform their work either aesthetically or conceptually (or both sometimes but it seems to usually be heavier on one than the other). And it feels like there's a very natural flow in your work in general. Rather than a forced inclusion of your inspirations, they just seem to bubble to the surface or something, but very much in your 'voice' (as one of my lecturers would say).
And I like how you seem to have devoted your tumblr to your likes. It's like a composite of inspiration really (at least that's how I interpret it). I might do something like that.

Hey Annie. You did a great job on Gutters, and hopefully I did an okay job colouring your work (though I feel I didn't quite do it justice). It usually takes at least a couple pages from an artist I've never worked with before to fully get a feel for how best to handle their work, so with any luck hopefully I'll get another chance to work with you again sometime in the future as I really love your style.
